Zhejiang Provincial Sports Director Meeting 2024 was held in Hangzhou on January 17. It was held to summarize Zhejiang's sports work in 2023, and to discuss key tasks in 2024 in a bid to enhance sports development in Zhejiang in the "post-Asian Games era".

At the meeting, it is emphasized to make full use of the legacy of the Asian Games, continuously give play to the comprehensive effect of the Asian Games, so as to build a strong modern province in sports and events. This year, it is set to hold 10 major well-known international events, 100 national events, 100 IP events, and 1,000 provincial & municipal linkage events, and hold 10,000 various sports events at all levels.

At present, Zhejiang has confirmed the hosting of international events, such as International Canoe Super Cup, BWF World Tour Finals, FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship, WTA Open Tennis Championships, FIH Pro League, and U23 Baseball World Cup.

The athletes from Zhejiang have been qualified for 27 events at the upcoming Paris Olympic Games. They are expected to win the glory both for Zhejiang and the country.
