With the approaching of the Spring Festival holiday, domestic and foreign air ticket prices have seen a surge.

The domestic north-south flight ticket prices rise significantly. Due to winter travel frenzy, the ticket price of the flight from Hangzhou to Harbin is as terribly high as more than 1,700 yuan. If you want to experience winter in the northern cities of China, Beijing may be a cost-effective choice.

For some southern destinations, the air ticket prices have increased as well. The air ticket price from Hangzhou to Sanya is up to over 2,000 yuan, while that from Hangzhou to Guangzhou is more affordable, about 1,000 yuan.

The air ticket prices from Hangzhou to Sichuan, Chongqing and other western cities are more expensive before the holiday, but may drop after the holiday. If possible, you can consider leaving a few days later to get a more favorable price.

In terms of outbound tourism, countries in Southeast Asia and Jeju Island of the Republic of Korea become popular destinations. Recently, the visa-free policies of Southeast Asian countries have attracted many Chinese tourists. The air ticket price from Hangzhou to Singapore has doubled, from 2,167 yuan on February 1 to 5,632 yuan on the Chinese New Year's Eve. In contrast, the ticket price of the flight to Jeju Island of the Republic of Korea is much more affordable, and that on the Chinese New Year's Eve is nearly 580 yuan.
