Hangzhou will add a new metro line – Line 12, expected to be open to traffic by the end of December 2027.

This line spans 26.05 km, and sets up 15 stations, including seven transfer stations. It adopts the full-automatic operation technology, with a designed speed of 100 km/h. The maximum one-way passenger flow is estimated to be 12,300 people per hour.

As the third metro line of Hangzhouxi Railway Station, Line 12 will link Zhijiang New City and Chengxi Sci-tech Innovation Corridor, to enrich the north-south rail transit and promote the development in the west of the city.
