On January 13, Hangzhou Metropolitan Area New Year Tourism Expo was held at Hangzhou West Lake Cultural Square, and it was organized by Hangzhou's cultural tourism department. Hangzhou, Ningbo, Lishui and other cities in Zhejiang Province and Yangtze River Delta integrated excellent cultural tourism resources, and released more than 500 new preferential policies, products, and routes for cultural tourism.
The event covered many themes, such as the world cultural heritages, water tour, tea culture, Song culture, parent-child research and study, and folk custom. It included the Grand Canal ICH Flower Umbrella Fair where master-level ICH inheritors showcase ICH techniques on the site, to enable citizens and tourists to experience and feel the folk culture.
The expo covers 1,500 square meters, with 50 tourism units and nearly 130 tourism-related enterprises involved. The event was held to integrate tourism resources in the Hangzhou Metropolitan Area, and to promote the local specialty products, and to attract more Chinese and foreign tourists to boost tourism there.
