Recently, two sculptures at the entrance of Zhejiang Provincial Museum in Hangzhou have attracted many tourists.

These two sculptures are inspired by the Hemudu Pottery Bowl with Pig Pattern and Rhino Image Bone Carving as the cultural relics of Hemudu Culture in the Neolithic Age. They have adorable images, making the cultural relics from thousands of years ago get new lease on life.

Hemudu Pottery Bowl with Pig Pattern is a treasure of the Neolithic pottery art in China, symbolizing a bumper grain harvest and thriving livestock. Rhino Image Bone Carving displays the maturity and flexibility of ancient carving techniques.

The sculptures are made by Professor Yang Qirui of China Academy of Art and produced through digital and 3D printing technology. Yang hopes that more people to understand ancient art and culture through these two works which is a combination of traditional and modern arts.
