The original Broadway musical production called The Sound of Music is presented in Chinese mainland again, starting its national tour from Shanghai. On January 9, the production was staged at Hangzhou Grand Theater. Some classic repertoires, such as Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss, and The Lonely Goatherd, were very impressive on the site.

The production had its premiere in Hangzhou in 2005, and it is the earliest foreign musical presented in Hangzhou. After 19 years, this musical returns to Hangzhou again.

The Sound of Music was created in 1959. It has been performed for more than 4,000 times on Broadway in America and in London's West End in UK, and even sets a Guinness record for the highest number of viewers in a week.

The production lasted 165 minutes, with the live band playing 26 classic songs. The performance of 30 actors also made audiences feel the theme of love and eternity. The show will continue until January 14.
