Hangzhou will build a new bridge across Qiantang River. It is Hangzhou’s second passageway that crosses the river with two-way eight lanes, and is also the 12th bridge across Qiantang River in Hangzhou. The bridge is located 2 km downstream from Jiangdong Bridge, and links Haining Yancang Development Zone and Qiantang Jiangdong Region.

This is a double-decker bridge. The upper layer has two-way eight lanes. The lower layer owns two-way six lanes, and slow lanes for pedestrians and non-motor vehicles.

The bridge will bring some benefits to Hangzhou. Firstly, it will increase another river-crossing channel for both sides of Qiantang River, and divert existing traffic flow to alleviate traffic congestion during the rush hour. Secondly, it will facilitate the travel of citizens, and promote integrated development in the east and west of the city.
