According to the data from Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV and Tourism, during three-day New Year's Day Holiday, scenic areas in Hangzhou received 4,027,400 tourists, including 2,867,000 visitors from other cities (Daily Average: 956,000 people), with a year-on-year increase of 105.5%.

Feilai Peak Scenic Area, Xianghu Tourist Attraction, Xixi National Wetland Park, Hangzhou Botanical Garden, saw large tourist flow. Commercial clusters, including Hubin International Pedestrian Block, SUNTIANDY and Chinese Silk City, became main destinations for consumers.

In addition, Hangzhou held three main activities dubbed National Reading on New Year's Eve in December, Intangible Cultural Heritage New Year Shopping Festival, and City Walk., attracting numerous participants. Younger tourists were increasingly pursuing festival atmosphere on New Year's Eve. The events on New Year’s Eve were favored by them.
