Hangzhou has been home to above 300 listed companies at home and abroad, becoming the fourth city of China with 300 listed companies following Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, ranking the first among provincial capital cities all over the country.

Through about 30 years of development, the number of listed companies in Hangzhou has grown from 1 to 300. In the past three years, the number of listed companies has increased from 200 to 300. By the end of 2023, there were 228 domestic listed companies and 79 overseas listed companies in Hangzhou, covering 13 districts and counties.

Binjiang District is home to most listed companies in Hangzhou, with over 50 domestic listed companies and more than 10 overseas listed companies.
