Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park is located in Qianwan New Area, Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang province. It has been recently selected as one of the important habitats for terrestrial wildlife in China.
It has been an important stopover for migratory birds and attracted many bird watchers.
Approximately one million migratory birds inhabit and overwinter here every year, including endangered species such as the Chinese black-headed gull, black-faced spoonbill, and Dalmatian pelican.
Up to now, 303 species of birds have been recorded in the park and surrounding areas, with 62 on China's Endangered and Protected Species.
