The 12th Grand Canal International Poetry Festival was held on Dec 22 at the Xiaohe Park in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
The poetry festival, titled "A Moveable Feast", focused on the tracing of canal poetry culture and the construction of the Grand Canal National Cultural Park (Hangzhou section), providing a fantastic cultural and artistic performance through poetry, music and dance.
Indeed, the Xiaohe Park is a signature project of the Hangzhou section of the Grand Canal National Cultural Park.
An award ceremony was also held at the festival. A total of 10 places in Hangzhou were named "the most poetic source of the Grand Canal", including the Yanzhou Ancient City in Jiande district and the former residence of Huang Gongwang in Fuyang district.
The festival also features the "City Hunt" exhibition, which was organized under the guidance of Hangzhou's bureau of garden and cultural relics and with three universities in the city.
Through visits, investigation, innovative design and more, they have conducted research, analysis, field investigation and a presentation of results for Hangzhou's historical and cultural resources, exploring a new way to encourage public participation in the protection of Hangzhou's historical heritage.
The exhibition showcases Hangzhou's practical achievements in strengthening the protection of cultural heritage and promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional culture.
It will be open to the public for a month.
