People participate in a parade featuring a gigantic float modeled on the Chinese mythical creature called longma in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Dec 16, 2023. The 50-metric-ton mechanical vehicle, with a dragon-like head and a horse-like body, was operated by 10 engineers, who made it move forward, blink, breathe flames and spray water. The float was created by Chinese and French artists and engineers in 2014 to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-France diplomatic relations.
