Winter has come. Reed catkins in Xixi National Wetland Park have turn white, offering the best reed admiring scene. On December 14, a recitation was held on the water in front of the Qiuxue Nunnery in Xixi National Wetland Park, adding cultural touch to the ongoing Xixi Reed Festival. Qiuxue Nunnery is an important place where poets meet for recitation and it thus became an important cultural venue in Xixi. Every year, on First Frost, a ritual is held in Xixi to carry forward local poetry culture.
