A few days ago, Hangzhou built 90 neighborhood reading places for communities, covering 13 districts and counties, to provide citizens with free book borrowing services.

The neighborhood reading space is a public service innovation project, and it is also one of pilot projects of striving to become a model city for high-quality development and construction of common prosperity demonstration area in Zhejiang. Through the integration of resources and the advocacy of volunteer services, a great number of public reading spaces have been built to provide the neighborhood sharing platform that combines reading, training, exchange, activity, leisure, and experience.

These reading spaces can not only achieve universal book borrowing and returning with public libraries all over the city, but also launch featured services, such as reading promotion, public welfare training, and outdoor activities.
