A seminar and exhibition featuring Zhejiang's culture of cuisine was unveiled at Louwailou's flagship restaurant on November 12. 

Named "1,000 dishes across Zhejiang's 100 counties and Zhejiang's culture of cuisine," the event was jointly organized by the Administrative Committee for the Hangzhou West Lake Scenic Spot and the Tourism College of Zhejiang China. 

Since the project was initiated, 14 restaurants from the region of West Lake have been recognized as provincial or municipal flagship stores, and four dishes included in the list of Zhejiang cuisine. At the exhibition, exhibitors from the West Lake Scenic Spot showcased their unique dishes. Hangzhou Louwailou Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Hangzhou Kuahulou Restaurant Co., Ltd. signed an agreement and established friendship, pledging cooperation in brand building and resources sharing. 

The research team for the "1,000 dishes across Zhejiang's 100 counties and Zhejiang's culture of cuisine" project also gathered by the West Lake and started to write a book based on the research program. Academics from the University of Science and Technology of China, Beijing Normal University, Heilongjiang University, Southwest Minzu University and Shanghai Library made keynote speeches at the seminar, and exchanged with representatives from hotels, restaurants, homestay businesses and tea houses. 

According to the local administration, the seminar and exhibition would make the West Lake, a world heritage, the "main course" with the over 1,000 local foods across Zhejiang's 100 counties as the "ingredients". The "main course" would have to be cooked by a further study of Zhejiang's food culture. Together, they made gourmet distinctive to Hangzhou and offer people a sip of the happy life of Chinese modernization.
