2023 Chinese Men's Hockey League (Hangzhou Leg) kicked off on December 17. It is the first national event at Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium after Hangzhou Asian Games.

This league is composed of two competitions respectively held in Guangzhou and Hangzhou, involves three single round-robin matches and finals, and attracts six teams from Tianjin, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Guangdong, and Gansu. On December 17-28, Hangzhou is set to hold the last two rounds of the second single round-robin match, as well as the third single round-robin match and two finals.

The game adopts new rules, including a rule called “BUG”. The participating teams can apply for two-minute additional time during the competition. The scores of the goals during this period will double.
