On Dec 14, the second day of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour Finals 2023 in Hangzhou, Spanish badminton player Carolina Marin won Chinese player Han Yue 21-11, 21-12 in the women's singles group B. Having won two matches, she will face Chinese player Chen Yufei in the last game of group on Dec 15.

"The World Tour Finals is a tough tournament, because the best eight players in the world are here. I feel really happy with my performance today that I could win,"said Carolina Marin. When asked her preparation for the next game with Chen Yufei, she said she would take a break from today and get ready for tomorrow.

Carolina Marin is an Olympic Champion, three-time World Champion, six-time European Champion. She has made history by becoming the first non-Asian to win the Olympic badminton women's singles gold medal at the Rio Olympics 2016.
