Hangzhou, renowned for its scenic beauty, has added another feather to its cap with the onset of an Autumn Leaf Art Festival, themed "Infinite Vitality". Recently, the entrance of the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou has been graced by three magnificent autumn leaf installations, marking the beginning of a vibrant and lively art festival.
This year's festival combines the beauty of autumn leaves with artistic expression, bringing a burst of energy and creativity to the city of Hangzhou. More than 20 unique art pieces are set to be displayed across various locations in Hangzhou within the next two weeks. These locations include the China Academy of Art, Hubin Street and Qingbo Street in the Shangcheng district, the Xianghu Management Committee area, Deshou Palace, Shao Yifu Hospital, Hangzhou Fashion Center, and even extending to Yinzhou in Ningbo.
One of the standout pieces is "The World of Symbols", which showcases the elegance and flair of great artists. Another installation, titled "Stay", features a giant sprite reminiscent of the umbrella-toting Totoro from Hayao Miyazaki's famous works, drawing crowds of locals and tourists for photo opportunities. "Autumn Leap", inspired by the dynamic action of a volleyball spike, is surrounded by autumn leaves to symbolize the endless vitality and possibilities that arise when humanity and nature coalesce. This piece particularly resonates with the spirit of the Hangzhou Asian Games, symbolizing forward momentum and upward energy.
