On December 5, the Hangzhou Municipal Government announced that the revised version of Implementation Measures of Hangzhou on Promoting the Construction and Operation of New Energy Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure would be released on December 12.

Hangzhou has built about 268,000 charging facilities, including approximately 236,000 private charging facilities, and nearly 32,000 public charging facilities, and it ranks among the top cities in China for charging infrastructure.

The new policy focuses on the construction and operation of charging facilities, and puts forward a series of measures to tackle challenges, including speeding up construction of charging facilities in residential areas, improving the construction standards of public charging facilities in urban and rural areas, clarifying the investment and construction entities, and enhance the operation and supervision of facilities.

The policy also includes specific subsidies to encourage businesses to build and operate high-quality charging facilities. 

By implementing these measures, Hangzhou aims to promote the construction of more charging facilities so as to better meet the needs of new energy vehicles.
