In recent years, Hangzhou has been striving for excellent ecological environment with rich biodiversity.

From the end of 2022 to the end of 2023, more than 9,300 species has been spotted in Hangzhou according to official survey, including new species across the country and even that in the world.

In addition, Hangzhou has built many biodiversity improvement projects, such as West Lake International Golf Course and Tonglu Equestrian Centre. And it also plans to build 16 biodiversity experience areas all over the city, covering 13 districts and counties (cities).
