On November 25, more than 40 artists from countries like Germany, France, Egypt, Syria, Kazakhstan, and Malaysia were invited to visit the West Lake and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province.

The artists gathered at Mid-Lake Pavilion, depicting the beautiful scenery of the West Lake with paintbrushes. Kenyan Artist Dujani Musinti said, “The wonderful landscape here is unforgettable. I would like to show it to more Kenyan people through my paintings.” He also acknowledged the positive impact of China's construction projects in Kenya, such as railways, expressways, and elevated bridges, which have facilitated travel for Kenyan people.

Afterward, they visited Gongchen Bridge and Qiaoxi Historical & Cultural Street along the Grand Canal. In the Handicraft Living Museum, the artists began to create unique artworks that fused Chinese and Western elements.

Syrian Artist Hamade Vasin used some fine patterns on the fan surface, showing the beauty of combination of Chinese and Western culture.

This event served to deepen the artists' understanding of Hangzhou while advancing the cultural exchange and learning among countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
