This year, Hangzhou has launched 10 livelihood projects. After six months of efforts, all projects have made great progress smoothly.

Hangzhou is attentive to all groups. For elderly people living alone, intelligent safety monitoring equipment and gas safety devices are installed free of charge, and the construction of the schools for the elderly in the township/town (sub-district) has been completed. Hangzhou advances the construction of primary & middle schools, kindergartens, and urban & rural compulsory education communities, and sets up the professional courses for improving infant rearing skills, to enhance the care for infants. For vulnerable groups, Hangzhou implements the rehabilitation assistance for children with autism, promotes the employment for impaired people, and completes the reconstruction of accessible facilities in public service areas.

Elevator installation and facility reconstruction are conducted in the old residential areas of Hangzhou, with the progress rate of more than 80%, to help citizens live in peace.

Hangzhou carries out the vocational skill training, increases the urban job opportunities, and builds the high-quality employment community (village), to promote employment.

In terms of medical treatment, Hangzhou opens the designated medical institution for “internet + medical insurance” mobile payment, and boosts the normalized construction of village clinics (community health service stations).
