Recently, China Golf Association has announced the roster for the golf event of the Hangzhou Asian Games: Wu Ashun, Chen Guxin, and Ding Wenyi will participate in the men's event; Lin Xiyu, Yin Ruoning, and Liu Yu will be in the women's event.

After being included as an official event in the Asian Games, golf events have only allowed amateur players to participate. The Hangzhou Asian Games marks the first time that professional golfers can compete in the event, which will elevate the overall competition level and intensify the competition.

Wu Ashun, who represented China in two Olympic Games, will lead the men's team for the upcoming Asian Games. He will be accompanied by the 20-year-old professional golfer star Chen Guxin, and Ding Wenyi, the world's highest-ranked Chinese amateur golfer.

The three golfers in the women's team also hold promise for the gold medal. Lin Xiyu won a silver medal in the women's team event at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, and Yin Ruoning secured a bronze medal in the women's team event at the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games. They both ranked in the top 10 globally. Liu Yu will make her debut at the coming Asian Games, and she has recently achieved second place in the LPGA Lotte Championship this year.
