On June 28, the West Lake and Xianghu Lake, two famous scenic areas located on each side of Qiantang River, were officially concluded as “sister lakes”, to jointly boost the ecological governance and cultural tourism development, and create Hangzhou’s water-friendly and livable characteristics.

The West Lake and Xianghu Lake are both livable, suitable for tourism and industry development, each with unique natural and cultural landscape. Two lakes promote each other, to continuouslyenlargeecological effect and cultural value, and help build Hangzhou into a world-class international metropolis.
