On May 25, "Exciting Hangzhou" Chinese Artistic Swimming Championship 2023 kicked off at Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Aquatic Sports Arena. It was the first artistic swimming event held in China after the launch of new FINA rules. About 100 athletes of 8 teams from all over the world participated in the competition. 

It is the first time in the history of Chinese Artistis Swimming that the men's single event has been set up in the competition. This means that the aquatic sport is becoming more inclusive.

In addition, there are twins combinations in the competition. The twins have good tacit understanding, with very similar height, physical proportion, leg length, and other conditions, able to present better visual effect in water, easier to get high scores.
