In peak tourism seasons, a group of firefighters and volunteers would stand hand in hand to form a man-made wall at the crossing of Yan'an Road and Pinghai Road. By doing this, they help the traffic polices to keep pedestrian flow in order and separate pedestrians from vehicles so as to ensure the safety of the tourists on their way to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang.

Recently, the squad called "Memories of Jiangnan", mascots of Hangzhou Asian Games, has joined the volunteer service team to keep the pedestrians in order, which creates a beautiful sight on the street. 

"The mascots have greatly laid off weight on the shoulder for the traffic police and have more effectively reminded citizens to obey the traffic rules and better present the image of Hangzhou to the international tourists," said Han Yufeng, deputy commander of Hubin Traffic Police Squadron.
