Wu Yibing, a native of Hangzhou, Zhejiang, was crowned champion in his first appearance at the finals of the Men's ATP 250 Tour in Dallas USA on February 11, making him the first Chinese mainland player to lift the ATP tour trophy.

The 23-year-old player prevailed 6-7(4), 7-6(3) and 7-6(12) against John Isner from the host country with enduring 44 aces, a history-making victory that saved him four championship points.

A day earlier, Wu became the first Chinese mainland player to reach the finals of ATP tour in the Open Era and defeated world's top 10 ranking for the first time. 

This week, Wu's ATP world rankings will rise to his career high of 58th place.
