Hangzhou sees cross-border e-commerce trade sales reach 100bn in 2022

In 2022, Hangzhou import-export value reached 756.48 billion yuan, with foreign trade volume hitting a record high, accounting for 16.2% of total import-export value in Zhejiang Province. Thereinto, the imports crossed 500 billion yuan mark for the first time to 514.06 billion yuan, up 10.6% year on year. 

The cross-border e-commerce export value of Hangzhou Comprehensive Pilot Area was 101.3 billion yuan in 2022, increased by 18.75% year on year. The data of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce show that Hangzhou has deployed 206 overseas cross-border e-commerce outlets and 335 overseas warehouses with the total coverage of 7,140,000 square meters, accounting for one third and one sixth of the total area and quantity in China respectively. 

It is worth mentioning that Hangzhou has further improved export product mix. In 2022, the city’s total export value of various new high-tech products was 104.06 billion yuan, increased by 14.7%, ranking the first among all exported commodities in terms of contributions to growth rate. 

In addition, more and more enterprises of Hangzhou have enjoyed the benefits of regional economic growth brought by RCEP. According to the statistics, Qianjiang Customs totally signed 15,900 Certificates of Origin under RCEP category, saving over 40 million yuan for foreign trade enterprises.
