Recently, 24 fast roads (sections) and 38 metro lines (sections) of Hangzhou have been selected as Model Roads in 2022 Hangzhou Hundred-day Critical Action in Urban Infrastructure Construction for Upcoming Asian Games.

Hangzhou has achieved fruitful results in road construction for the upcoming Asian Games and has expanded the traffic network of the city to expedite citizens’ travel in 2022. Meanwhile, some fast roads integrate local characteristic culture to enhance the image of the city. 

Innovative technology was applied during the construction. For example, the east extension of Genshan Road (E) in Qiantang District (Cross-Qiantang River Tunnel - Toupeng Road) used modified soil and new technology to turn 70,000 cubic meters of waste soil into treasure, setting an example for low-carbon and environmental-friendly construction of traffic projects.
