Zhejiang Museum has recently organized a Winter Solstice Tea Meeting and invited top-grade tea specialists and tea fans to jointly enjoy the beauty of tea culture.  

Before the start of the tea meeting, audiences in traditional Han clothing drew out round fans written with 24 solar terms and seated themselves in order of the solar terms before sipping a cup of tea wine to warm up the stomach. 

Then, the tea specialist started to perform tea whisking, arrange flowers, play Guqin, and show Tai Chi Tea Ceremony and other elegant tea ceremonies dating to the Song Dynasty. While appreciating the wonderful ceremony, the guests cooked and tasted tea to enjoy an elegant and refined winter solstice. 

After that, the guests gave the souvenirs prepared for the occasion to each other along with their most sincere wishes. 

Finally, the guests visited “Jades from Mount Kunlun & China Ancient Ceramics Exhibition” held at Zhejiang Museum to trace the thousand-year history of tea from the perspective of ceramics.  

Chinese traditional tea processing techniques and the related tea practices have recently been included into the List of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritages, indicating that Chinese tea culture has become world’s tea culture. The tea meeting in Hangzhou replicated the beauty of traditional tea ceremony and promoted the charisma of Chinese tea culture.
