Headway has been made in the construction of Qianjiang Fast Road, the longest east-west urban fast road across Hangzhou, recently. The tunnel in Gucui Road Section of Zhonghe Elevated Road has been holed through, which is vital for relieving traffic jam in downtown Hangzhou and is important to ensure smooth transportation during the Asian Games. 

Moreover, the east-west fast road is interlinked with south-north roads to substantially enhance the city’s capacity for expediting long-distance transportation and further boosting the balanced development of the various sectors of the city.
