Toilet improvement is not a trivial matter, and it is important for people’s life. In recent years, considering humanistic care, Hangzhou has continuously optimized public toilet services and environment for the benefit of citizens and tourists.
According to the sources, so far, Hangzhou has completed the upgrading of 100 key public toilets to greet the Asian Games and 95 toilets for use during the event. Also, the city will complete the renovation of 71 toilets in rural and urban areas by the end of December.
After renovation, the public toilets will be well-equipped and be accessible by special groups. Taking the toilet at Gongchen Bridge Wharf near the Grand Canal for example, after upgrading, the toilet now has children’s toilet bowls and voice prompt service for the convenience of children and people with disabilities.
