The First China Low-carbon Urban Development Forum was held in Hangzhou on November 19. Authoritative academicians, experts and representatives from climate, energy, ecology, economy, public policy and technological application fields assembled at the forum to share Hangzhou’s experience and China’s practice in the construction of low-carbon city and the achievement of the “double carbon” goal. The forum had drawn extensive attention, with nearly 10,000 online participants and about 100 on-site participants.
The realization ofthe peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality goalis the extensive and profound systematic reform in economy and society. Centered on the double carbon goal and economic development, the experts at the forum gave their insights on the development of low-carbon city from theory to practice.
