On November 16, Chinese Basketball Association announced that Serbian Coach Aleksandar Djordjevic has been appointed the head coach of Chinese Men's Basketball Team for the first time in nine years, arousing Chinese fans'expectation for better results of the team.

Djordjevic has been prestigious as an athlete and a coach. As an athlete, he ever obtained the silver medal of the Olympic Games and won the champion of the World Basketball Championships; as a coach, he has ever led Serbia National Team to seize the runner-up of the World Basketball Cup and won the silver medal of the Olympic Games. He has enjoyed long-standing reputation for his capacity both as a strategist and a coach. This time, he will cooperate with Chinese coaches in steering Chinese Men's Basketball Team. 

Djordjevic will arrive in China on November 18. After necessary quarantine upon entry at Hangzhou, he will head for CBA League Division and have the thorough communication and exchange with Chinese Basketball Association and relevant personnel. Then he will start the training of Chinese Men’s Basketball Team for the Men’s Basketball Cup 2023.
