Recently, 79-year-old Lou Yimin led 103 members of her studio attended the Second Yangtze River Delta Sports Festival Square Dance Competition, and achieved remarkable results.
In the past ten years, "Lou Yimin Studio" founded by her has been expanding the participation group, from three people to 300 participants, including nearby residents and employees from colleges & universities and units in other regions of Hangzhou. Most of them are senior citizens and they enrich their leisure life after retirement by means of fitness and dancing.
The studio is of nonprofit nature. Over the years, it has participated in the municipal, provincial and even international performance activities, enjoying high reputation. Lou Yimin used to be the national social sports instructor and I-class judge. She proactively organized the social instructors at all levels to launch various fitness events in the studio, such as fitness ball, Rouliqiu, dance and Qigong.
Nowadays, in order to greet the Asian Games, she leads the students to choreograph the fitness dance according to the original song of the Asian Games, so as to publicize the Asian Games in the form of dance performance, express the best wishes for the Asian Games and make the concept of healthy life deeply rooted in the hearts of people.
