The CBA League 2022-2023 officially tipped off in Huanglong Sports Centre Gymnasium on October 10. The first match was between Liaoning Team and Zhejiang Team that were respectively the champion and runner-up of last season. Through fierce competition in the four quarters, the disheveled Zhejiang East Sunshine was defeated by Liaoning Team (64:74).

The team members engaged in the match sang high praise of the facilities of the venue, saying that the refurbished floor enabled them to perform better in the match. During the awarding ceremony that was featured by the first-class acoustic and lighting effect, the players followed the searchlight to take their champion’s rings in turn. The on-site staff exclaimed that the ceremony was comparable to that of NBA. Match watching also turned out to be an amazing experience. The large-scale funnel-shaped screen hung above the arena gave high-resolution 360-degree synchronized broadcast of the match while putting on the promotional videos of the league during the breaks, to bring an immersive experience to spectators.
