The pening ceremony of 2022 Silk Road Week was held at China Silk Museum in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on July 8.

Themed on "National Integration and Common Prosperity", this year's Silk Road Week will hold a series of exhibitions, academic seminars and supporting social and educational activities. 

The Republic of Uzbekistan is invited as guest country of honor this year and Northwest China's Qinghai province as guest province of honor.

Unique cultural resources of along the Silk Road of the two regions will be showcased during this year's Silk Road Week, including a photography exhibition of the Great Beauty of Uzbekistan which shows the landscape of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan and UNESCO Representative Office in China delivered speeches on the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony also released the Annual Report of 2021 on Silk Road Cultural Heritage that has comprehensively recorded, sorted out and recommended cultural events, archaeological discoveries, exhibitions and academic achievements on cultural heritage of Silk Road.

The closing ceremony will be held on July 14 at the Qinghai Provincial Museum in its capital city Xining.
