The "Exciting Hangzhou, Amazing Shaoxing" National Softball Championship took place at the Shaoxing Baseball & Softball Sports Center from June 24 to 29.

Eight teams from Beijing, Shanghai and six provinces participated in the competition, which was won by Team Sichuan. Team Liaoning and Team Jiangsu took the second and third places respectively.

The championship is the first sports event held at Shaoxing Baseball & Softball Sports Center, which will host the baseball and softball events of the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022.

Spanning 16.33 hectares and equipped with more than 5,000 fixed seats, the venue is the largest baseball stadium in China and will serve as the training base of the national baseball and softball teams.

After the Asian Games, the stadium will be used to showcase innovative concepts on health, architecture, and low-carbon living.
