Glory flowers in Jiangyangfan park of Hangzhou

Clerodendrum bungei, commonly known as rose glory bower, or glory flower, is a species of flowering plant in the deadnettle family. They are recently found blooming in the Jiangyangfan eco-park of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.

Clerodendrum bungei is commonly grown in gardens as an ornamental shrub. It grows up to 2 meters in height. Its leaves are heart-shaped, 10 to 20 cm long, and have coarsely toothed edges.

The flowers, which appear in summer, are colored rose, crimson, or pink. It grows along roadsides and in mixed forests on mountain slopes.

While the flowers are fragrant, crushed leaves have an unpleasant odor.
