Located in Xikou Village, Baizhang Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou, Chuansuo Museum, the first shuttle-themed museum in China, was officially open to the public yesterday. The inauguration ceremony was held simultaneously with the opening ceremony of "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day" Theme Activity 2022. Spinning shuttle used to be a commonly seen tool for pulling threads across the loom and witnessed the change of countryside in the transition from agricultural civilization to industrial civilization.

Rebuilt from old factory building, with regular exhibition area of about 1,500 square meters, Chuansuo Museum has four permanent exhibition halls and one open exhibition hall. At present, the museum has a collection of 22,000 shuttles of various kinds. All these shuttles were donated or collected by Zheng Fenlan, the curator of the museum, village by village in the past two decades from 2002 to 2022.
