At the beginning of this month, the FIDE announced the latest U20 World Young Female Chess Player Ranking List, and Chinese Player Zhu Jiner ranked the first with 2,464 scores. This was not her rating ceiling. Considering her outstanding performance in recent games, her real-time rating rose again.
Zhu Jiner born in 2002 has never missed a chess class because of illness or rain. Wang Wenhao, the chief coach of Zhejiang Team, said: "Zhu Jiner is a gifted girl with strong self-management ability and desire for winning. Her character is also very suitable for playing chess."
Starting from the National Children Chess Championship 2010, Zhu Jiner won the champions of different age groups in the competition reputed as the National High-level Chess Event for many times. Just like learning chess, Zhu Jiner took her studies seriously. At present, she is a student studying in the Accounting Major of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
Last week, Chinese Women's Chess Team Trial for the Asian Games (Stage 1) was held in Hangzhou. Zhu Jiner beat New Player Ning Kaiyu in the first round, and defeated Veteran Player Shen Yang. She played steadily in the next few competitions, and secured a spot for promotion in advance.
