Reporters from Hangzhou.com.cn visited the Grand Canal Asian Games Park in Gongshu District on August 20. It is the only newly-built Asian Games venue cluster in the main urban area of Hangzhou. The “park in the city” is covered with lush grasses and surrounded by clear water. Both main buildings – “southern venue and northern stadium” – have finished construction and the supporting facilities, including the public fitness centre, visitor centre, underground space, and landscape greening, have all entered the final stage. The whole project will complete by the end of this October according to the plan.
