Phase I of Hangzhou Metro Line 8 will be officially put into operation on the morning of 28^th June. Hangzhou-Haining Intercity Railway and Hangzhou-Shaoxing Intercity Railway (namely Keqiao section of Shaoxing Metro Line 1) will also start operation on the same day. Thus Hangzhou, Jiaxing and Shaoxing will take the lead to develop interconnected metro network. The total length of the trail transit network in the metropolitan area of Hangzhou has now reached 391 kilometers.
