On 18 March, Hangzhou held a conference on constructing Xianghu Sanjianghui Future City Pilot Zone, which marked the official implementation of the city’s “Nanqi” project. Xianghu Sanjianghui Future City Pilot Zone covers a total planned area of 458 square kilometers, involving 12 townships and neighborhood communities in Xihu District, Binjiang District, Xiaoshan District and Fuyang District. Its overall vision is “Charming Future and Unbridled Jiangnan”. The future city is planned to take shape by 2025 and be initially constructed by 2035. By 2050, the ideal city of the future will be completed in all aspects.
