Hangzhou section of the main stream of Qiantang River, including the two branch sources in the south and in the north, as well as major tributaries, including Fenshui River, Puyang River, Luzhu River, Gexi, Huyuanxi, and Dayuanxi, has banned all means of fishing except recreational fishing during the closed fishing season, which will last to 24:00 30th June. This is the third year Zhejiang has taken this measure, which aims to protect fishery resources. In 2019 Zhejiang conducted closed fishing in the main stream of Qiantang River for the first time. Major tributaries were also included in 2020.
