Yang Yimiao, an ordinary but significant one among the food delivery riders in Zhejiang, has a special gift for his friends.

Cushy and elastic, his foamy seat pad has been approved by over 3,000 drivers for greatly improving ride comfort.

Working as a delivery rider for four years, Yang well understood how much intense pain the long-time riding could put on the back, not to mention the adverse weather, in which the seatcouldbecome either too hot or cold to touch.

“With special materials being attached, this pad can also effectively resist the sunlight during summertime and capture heat in winter, .”

“Making the pad perfect fit on top of theexisting seat was not easy, though.”Yang recalled, “Fixing thosestrapsso that they could be held in place was even harder.”

“Tailor”was the first and only job he did before joining the delivery team. Despite being very skilled with his handworks, Yang believed delivering food could improve his family finances. “But I’ve always wanted to invent something that benefits the society.”

Recently, a patent was granted to the pad, which in addition to moving his business online, increased a larger visibility nationwide.
