According to the plan, Hangzhou will finish 100 main projects containing sponge city elements this year, the area of sponge zones reaching 52.9km2. The urban built-up areas that meet the requirements of sponge city construction will add up to 142.4km2 by the end of this year, achieving the stage target of “25% of the built-up area realizes sponge construction”.
