The first cross-border new-retail store opens today(Nov 24) in Hangzhou's Xiasha, enabling consumers to purchase cross-border merchandise in the offline store and enjoy the delivery within 20 minutes.
The new model of "Bonded display + new retail" is jointly developed by Hangzhou Municipal Government, China(Hangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Area, and Tmall Global.
The store is located in the InTime Mall in Xiasha. Covering over 300㎡, over 130 popular goods of more than 60 brands are the focuses on the first day. All these commodities were selected from over 26,000 overseas brands from 84 countries and regions via Tmall Global platform.
Consumers can place orders by scanning the QR code, which is directly linked with the customs systems. The customs clearance will be finished within one second. Based on the supporting chain of Tmall Global, the packages will be sent to the offline store from the bonded warehouse within 30 minutes.
The new model is planned to be promoted across the city in near future.
