Zhejiang Kunpeng Ecology Innovation Center was officially unveiled in Hangzhou High-Tech Zone (Binjiang) on April 21, marking that Zhejiang will gradually establish a Kunpeng Computing Industry Ecology System and highland of the computing industry in the YRD region. Representatives from Huawei, global information and communications technology (ICT) giant, and many other enterprises of the industry chain attend the opening ceremony.

Kunpeng Computing Industry Ecology is the Kunpeng-Processor-based full-stack IT infrastructures and industrial applications, including PC, server, storage, operating system, middleware, virtualization, database, cloud service, and many others.

The instruction set, the operating system of Kunppeng Processor, and Hongmeng Operating System were all developed by Huawei Hangzhou R&D Institution,” said Shi Yaohong, vice president of Huawei at the opening ceremony.

On the same day, Huawei, jointly with Hangzhou-based Eastcom, released three Zhejiang-produced Kunpeng production, including the server, PC, and IPC (Industrial Personal Computer). The three productions have reached the mass-production standard.

Based in Zhejiang, Kunpeng Computing Industry Ecology hopes that the benefits of the system will radiate across the country. Up to now, Kunpeng has finished the mutual recognition of compatibility with nearly 50 cooperated enterprises and published the joint solutions.

As the professional operator of the innovation center, Zhejiang University Binjiang Research Institution was unveiled at the same time. The institution will be built as an information innovation and certification platform for localization solutions in various industries, innovative and standardized incubation platform, achievement display and professional training platform.
