The first 5G Standalone(SA) Industrial Internet application pilot in Zhejiang Province was launched at Robam Appliance Limited Corporation Maoshan Intelligent Manufacture Base of Yuhang District, Hangzhou.

5G Standalone will not only realize a more effective interconnection and remote interaction under the technical circumstances but also ensure security during the production data transfer and storage.

The base has already been equipped with automation devices and AGVs(Automatic Guided Vehicle) in the process of production and storage and applied the automated high-rise warehouse system and the computerized stacking system. The company has preliminarily realized the whole-process intellectualization on design, manufacture, logistics, quality tracing, and supply chain management, laying a foundation for the 5G SA industrial Internet application.

Energized by 5G technology, innovation has been made in many aspects of production and management. The AGVs, of which the running routines were limited by the WLAN covering fields and data transfer speed, can currently transport goods automatically within serval workshops.

Moreover, AR (Augmented Reality）cameras were equipped in the workshops of the factory to watch the production in real-time. The 5G network will assist the fast transmission of high-definition images.

5G SA will realize the depth application on the industrial network, with the support of network slice and edge computing technologies, boosting the flattening, customization, and intellectualization of the manufacturing.

The 5G smart-factory constructions will begin in more manufacturing enterprises in Yuhang District.
